Powered by a 540 rpm PTO, these cutters provide great performance and are built for years of dependable service. With a Category lll driveline, rugged gearbox, and premium blades, these cutters make quick work of brush up to 1-inch in diameter. Available with either shear pin or slip clutch driveline protection, the cutter design matches well with modern compact tractors. In addition, each cutter width allows for access into tight areas, while maintaining an excellent cut.
The cutters come equipped with full length skid shoes for added durability. Gearboxes feature a 5-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, for years of worry-free performance.

• The pedestal mount 65 horsepower gearbox is designed especially for heavy-duty applications. With heat-treated alloy steel gears and 1.57-inch output shaft diameter, it's the largest in the industry, for this class cutter. These gearboxes make light work of brush up to 1-inch in diameter. All backed by a 5-year limited warranty. Dipstick provides easy way to monitor gearbox oil level.
• The flexible three-point hitch design features a pivoting A-frame top link that allows the cutter to follow the ground contour in extremely uneven terrain.

Overview
The standard-duty rotary cutters are built rugged, and have a cutting capacity of up to 1.5” or 2”. These cutters feature a gearbox rating of up to 90 horsepower. They feature a 3” x 4” structural beam frame, 2” tubular round bumper, and deep deck to provide the highest cutting capacity and the least amount of power required to do the job.

• Gearboxes are designed and manufactured to McCormick by Woods demanding standards. Built and tested especially for the demands of rotary cutting, gearboxes feature heat-treated, alloy steel gears running on tapered roller bearings. Rated at 65–90 horsepower, McCormick by Woods backs each gearbox with a 6-year warranty. Dual-friction disc slip clutch comes standard on RC20.72 and RC20.84 models — optional on RC20.48 and RC20.60 models.
• Large access window and quick-change blade pins with anti-seize lubricant prevents parts fusing and allows blades to be removed from top of cutter.
• Heavy-duty, heat-treated, alloy steel blades are free-swinging, reducing damage caused when the blades strike a solid object. With blade tip speed range between 13,000 and over 15,000 feet per minute, a high-quality cut is virtually assured.

Built on a reputation for rugged reliability and backed by quality service, our heavy-duty cutters are a solid choice for farmers, road commissioners and contractors, who trust their livelihood to the day-in and day-out performance of their machinery.
If you need top-level performance, these cutters are ready for your harshest conditions. The heavy-duty series was recently redesigned to meet even tougher conditions, cutting in rough terrain. Blade tip speeds were modified specifically to improve performance in these areas and a unique octagon deck ring was added to increase product life. The heavy-duty line features a rugged Category 5 driveline and slip clutch protection. The model RC40.60 and RC40.72 cutters offer 5 and 6-foot cutting widths, and are available in Category 1 or 2 three-point hitches for 40 to 150 horsepower, 540-RPM tractors. The model RC40.80 offers an 7-foot cutting width, and is available for 65 to 200 horsepower, 540-RPM, Category 2 or 3 tractors.
